Tatnell Takes Points Lead Into Performance Wholesale Wss Grand Final
5/02/2010 7:10:34 PM ... WSS Media

Thirty-six teams have nominated for what will be the first ever Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcar Grand Final in Western Australia and interest not only surrounds the multitude of Championship points battles but also how the local contingent will perform against the travelling World Series stars.

Reigning Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcar Champion Brooke Tatnell and his Krikke Motorsport team commands a healthy thirty-eight point lead over arch-rival Robbie Farr as they head into tonight’s opening night of the two night Grand Final at the Perth Motorplex in Western Australia.

Six time WSS champion Max Dumesny sits a further eighteen points behind, Dumesny who is yet to win a round of the series this year, the first time in his WSS career, will be determined to grace the top rung of the podium and potentially leap frog those above him.

Perth’s Ryan Farrell who finished second at last Wednesday’s Kalgoorlie round has performed to the high standard expected of the West Aussie star in his rookie WSS season and with the return to his home turf it would be no suprise to see him go one step higher on the podium.

Jason Johnson(USA), James McFadden, David Murcott, Bryan Mann and Danny Reidy all sit within the top ten in points and are sure to make their presence felt as will Danny Smith (USA) who subs for the injured Trevor Green.

Former World of Outlaw star Kerry Madsen who has been driving for the high profile Kendrick racing team has hit form at the high time of the West Australian season taking victory in his last two starts including Wednesday nights Kalgoorlie event.

Jamie Maiolo leads the strong WA contingent along with Mark Wells, Ken Sartori, Ben Ellement, Luch Monte and current WA champion David Priolo plus many more.

Be a part of the historic first ever World Series Sprintcars Grand Final to be held in Western Australia this weekend.
